The APR Group Awards

The APR Group believe very firmly in both reward and recognition of commitment and hard work, which is why we have four awards given annually and one monthly, that our Staff strive to win.

• The APR Group Engineer of the Year

Awarded to the Engineer who has been consistently professional and hard working.

All our Engineers are consistently professional and hard working, therefore to win this award they must go over and beyond, supporting the team, delivering the extra to customers and earning recognition from colleagues.

The winner in 2009 definitely met all criteria and Chris was a worthy winner.

• The APR Group Sales Person of the Year

You would be forgiven for thinking that this award is easy ‘who sold the most’, but here at APR that’s not the case.  We look for team approach, the sales is just the start.  We expect the sales person to assist in fulfilling the order with our project manager and the customer.  We expect Sales to learn and share knowledge; we expect leadership from the front.

The winner for 2009 did all of the above and much much more – Mr David Farrell.

• The APR Group Office- Based Employee of the Year

It is always easy to spot and praise members of our team who are customer facing, but without doubt they could not do their jobs without the support and hard work from those members of the team who are office-based.

This award acknowledges that and is awarded to the team player who goes that extra mile the most and in 2009 that was Sharon Gardener.

• The APR Group Employee of the Year

2009 saw this award being given for the first time.  We have so many team players, people who are consistent, staff who get constant customer praise and individuals who go even further that the extra mile. 

In 2009 one team player rose above the rest and the award very deservedly went to David Farrell.

• APR Group Employee of the Month

The nice things about this award are, it is on-going throughout the year, anyone can win it, up to twelve different people could win it in the year, the winner gets a bottle of bubbly and everyone wants to win it.

The Employee of the month for April 2010 is Oliver Woods

Olly is our trainee telecoms engineer, here to learn the technical merits, but when recently we set about office reshuffling and physical restructuring of our rooms, Olly was asked to provide his time and effort. Olly demostrated his commitment and hard work by "knuckling down" and doing all that was asked of him, without a single moan or groan, taking pride in his work.
