Benefit 04 - Having your EXTN hunt you down!!
As the range of systems and voicemail products advance, obviously so do the features / benefits!! The voicemail products that this benefit will work on are the SVM range.
This Benefit is ideal for people on the move and without doubt, targets sales or similar roles. It allows a user to be contacted more easily wherever they are and the caller only has to dial the one number.
About the feature
This feature allows an incoming call (internal or external) to be transferred from your extension, after a set time, to the voicemail. The voicemail will then put the call on hold whilst transferring to another number of your choice (mobile / PDA). If the call to your mobile is answered you will be connected. If the call to your mobile is unanswered, the call will be returned to the voicemail on your extension.
Things to take into account when selling this benefit are calls transferred back out to the mobile will dial out a second line and the customer will be paying for that call. Also that telephone call will only display the office's CLI.
The bulk of the programming has to be done by an engineer in the voicemail therefore can’t easily be changed.
How to set it up
1 – The initial forward to the voicemail is simply done by dialing the access code e.g Forward no-answer to VM is 603 – 529
2 – The rest of the programming is done by the voicemail system and will need to be changed by an engineer.
