Ring preference is a facility that can be set on a Samsung telephone systems which ensures that a user has to have answered an incoming call before they are able to make one (This is if they are part of the main or overflow ring group). This is a default setting that is set for every extension and this can be edited on a per extension basis.

How to setup / use this benefit

1 – From your digital display telephone press the TRSF key followed 110

2 – Repeatedly press the volume + key or the volume up arrow until RING PREF is displayed

3 – Press the right hand soft key under the screen to move the cursor underneath ON

4 – Use your volume + key or the volume up arrow to change it to OFF then press the TRSF to exit

Now that the mode is set, any call that you receive internally or externally you will need to press the flashing call key to answer. This now means that when your phone rings and you lift your handset you are not immediately connected, therefore you are able to dial 9 and dial out.
